New York Fashion Week: Backstage at the Richie Rich fall 2011 show

Richie Rich's Fall 2011 show was not just for fun and fashion like his typical shows. This one was for charity. Proceeds from the show were donated to DoSomething.org and Cookiesforkidscancer.org.Backstage the makeup and hair was very punk and very glam. Richie trusted Edward Tricomi of Warren Tricomi salon to achieve sky-high hair and elegant finger waves that would last the evening.
For the finger waves, Edward parted hair to one side and applied a non-flaky gel from roots to ends. He then used his fingers to create waves in the hair, spraying it with hairspray and using a large clip to hold the waves in place. He created waves down the sides of the hair to the nape of the neck, and then when he got to the bottom he twisted the loose hair in to small, flat buns against the head. The hair had to set until the gel and hairspray was completely dry before the clips could be taken out, for maximum hold. (And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you do finger waves!)

There were 2 separate teased 'do's; first a braided style with a teased section in the middle, and then a rock-n-roller's dream come true with twisted sections in the front.

(This second teased look is kind of like my hair in the morning, I'm not gonna lie.)

A HUGE thank you to trusted photographer, Danni Hadnott of Bonita's World Photography. Your pictures are flawless, and I wouldn't be able to get through Fashion Week without you!
