For New Year's Eve, or certain special occasions like prom or a wedding, your makeup look is a very important decision. On a night like this you must try to push the limits on your typical makeup look, without looking gaudy. I find a really easy and versatile way to vamp up your makeup look is with Becca's Jewel Dust ($24). There are a few ways to try this loose, sparkly powder:
-Use an eyeshadow brush to sweep an iridescent shadow wash over your entire lid.
-Use over another eyeshadow to ramp up the color. Try the Xantho color over any of your browns or neutrals for a bronzed Goddess effect.
-Wet your shadow brush for a deeper/more opaque color, or try wetting a small angled brush and use the Becca Jewel Dust as an eyeliner. Thanks to the good folks at Becca, I will be using the Mazikeen color below as my eyeliner for NYE. This color is amazing for green or hazel eyes. Thanks Becca!
