Another easy hair idea for New Year's Eve? Go straight and sleek like Heidi Klum or the girls at the Narcisco Rodriguez SS2011 show (photos courtesy of Getty Images). It may be cold out there, but there's no need to worry about humidity wreaking havoc on your hard work, so bust out the straightened and get moving.
This look is really easy to accomplish with Solano styling tools. Try the Sleek Heat 450 straightening iron with Ionic, Tourmaline, and Far Infrared technology ($199 at Solanopower.com). I still have a Solano flat iron that they don't even make anymore that I bought in 2003! (The Blue Sapphire for those in the know). Now you know a company makes a quality product if your straightener lasts you for that long.
Also by Solano, they have an array of styling brushes at about $20 each to help achieve any look. For the straight look, try the Plasmium Gel Grip styling brush. This brush has the Solano trademark "comfort tip" bristles so you don't feel like you're ripping your hair out as your brush.
To finish off this easy-breezy look, use a finishing spray that will give you hold, but still allow you to run your hands through it (or someone else's hands at midnight). My peeps at Jason Naturals sent me their Aloe Vera and Bergamot finishing spray ($8.95) a while back and I'm totally hooked. It smells fresh and clean, gives great hold, but doesn't feel sticky. Check out their products at Jason-Natural.com.
