Caudalie X L'Wren Scott

I love when a beauty line collaborates with a fashion line.  Let's be honest, we can't all afford the latest it bag, but we can all afford a nail polish or a mascara.  Now, one of my absolute favorite and most trusted brands, Caudalie, is adding a fashion collaboration to their repertoire.  Caudalie founder, Mathilde Thomas, asked L'Wren Scott to design a limited-edition bottle for the best-selling Beauty Elixir.  The bottle design is inspired by L'Wren Scott's Fall/Holiday 2013 collection, and pays homage to the female silhouette.

It is so adorable that you won't want to use what's inside, but you should.  The Beauty Elixir is a cult favorite for makeup artists and beauty gurus all over the world.  You can use it to prep your skin before makeup, or to refresh your skin throughout the day.  Its potent anti-oxidants help makeup from oxidizing (aka fading, turning colors, and doing all sorts of weird things) and helps to even out your skin tone. It's great for acne-prone skin because of its Rosemary Essential Oil and Peppermint (nature's best anti-bacterials).  It's great for dry skin because of its grape pulp.  Uneven skin tone?  It's got Orange Blossom and rose to help with that.  And if your skin is more on the sensitive side, the lemon balm in it will help soothe.  Basically, it's good for anybody!  And a little birdie once told me that it even makes a great after-shave for guys.
This limited-edition bottle is available starting November 1st online, at Caudalie boutiques, and at the Caudalie Vinotherapy Spa at the Plaza.
