New York Fashion Week: Backstage at Tracy Reese Spring 2014

Hair: Morgan Willhite for Ouidad

Ouidad's creative director, Morgan Willhite, gives us the go-ahead to embrace our natural hair texture this coming spring.  For the Tracy Reese show, she created textured knots with tendrils flowing around the face.  She started with Ouidad Wave Create Sea Spray, Ouidad Wave Create Texture Taffy, and/or Ouidad Play Curl Volumizing Styling Spray depending on the natural texture of each model before using a waving iron on the hair.  After each models' hair was waved, Willhite used Salon Series by Ouidad Mongongo Oil Multi Use Hair Treatment to add a healthy shine to the hair before twisting it into a relaxed knot at the crown of the head.
Makeup: Mally Roncal for Mally Beauty
This makeup look by Mally Roncal was, as per usual, amazing.  She kept the skin luminous and kept the look all about the eyes.  To start, she framed the face by shaping the brows with Mally Beauty 24/7 Professional Brow Pencil and then finished them with Lip Gloss for a healthy, dewy look.  Next, she lined the eyes with the Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Waterproof  Eyeliner in Midnight, and drew over that line for a dramatic cat eye with Mally Beauty Eye Precision Liquid Liner directly over top of the line you already drew.  On the bottom lash line, she used Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliners in Dark Chocolate for a smokey effect, and Starshine on the inner corners to brighten the eyes.  She topped off the cat eye with Mally Beauty Volumizing Mascara to finish the eye look.  To complete the entire look with a nude lip, Mally chose the Aubergine shade from the Mally Beauty Pro-Tricks Lip Palette as a base, and then used Mally Beauty Evercolor Lasting Lip Color & Gloss in Perfect Rose on top.

Nails: Tracylee for Sally Hansen
Tracylee gave the models a windowpane mani to complement the fabric in Reese's Spring 2014 collection.  Using one of three colors from the Tracy Reese X Sally Hansen spring collection (Carnivale, Mojito, or Batbano Blue) as a base coat, Tracylee painted a simple windowpane pattern over the color using a nail art brush and some black nail polish.

Sally Hansen X Tracy Reese Spring 2014 collection: Carnivale (coral), Batbano Blue, and Mojito (green).
