New York Fashion Week: Ruffian SS2012

Being someone whose favorite color is pink, and who prefers spring collections to fall because of the bright colors, you can imagine that I was in love with the Ruffian SS2012 collection. Ruffian's namesake was a female racehorse (possibly the greatest female racehorse of all time), so designers Brian Wolk & Claude Morais paid homage with a decidedly Jockey-esque collection.

Satin jackets are paired with chiffon skirts and tech fabrications like faille.

Models sported voluminous braided ponytails and natural makeup.

Shoes are all Ruffian for Vince Camuto.
