Cynthia Rowley's SS2012 collection was a surfer girl's dream come true.
Backstage, the MAKE UP FOR EVER team was in charge of giving the models a hint of sheen, almost like they had come straight from the beach with a little sweat on them. A bare lip and a bold brow were key components of this look, nothing overly fussy or made up.
First the lead makeup artist, Lottie, used HD Invisible Cover Foundation to create the canvas, and then used Eyeshadows in shades #76 & #98 for contouring (a beige and a medium brown shade respectively). Next Lottie used Uplight Luminizer Gel #12 along with Star Powder #902 to illuminate the skin.
To give skin the dewey finish, she used MAKE UP FOR EVER Sweat Effects Gel, and just a touch of Moisturizing Lip Balm on the lips.
Since the emphasis was on the brows for this look, the models' eyebrows were given the illusion of thickening using MAKE UP FOR EVER Eye Shadow #17 or #98 on and below the brows, while the lids were kept bare. Finally, after a coat of Smoky Lash Mascara, the models were finished.
The clothes in the Cynthia Rowley SS2012 collection, as said before, were very California surfer girl-esque. The collection was definitely sporty and girly at the same time. Bright watercolor prints were consistently seen on the garments, including on pants, skirts, tops, and blazers.
