Buckler Spring/Summer 2011

Andrew Buckler's SS2011 fashion week presentation was inspired by Bauhaus (German Modernists' school that closed during WWII) and the 1924 Olympics. The clothing is inspired by 1924 Olympic athletes Eric Liddell and Harold Abrahams, whose story was revived in "Chariots of Fire". Buckler's main take-away message from the Bauhuas and the Olympic inspirations is optimism.

The collection is supposed to feel light and happy, so linens and cottons are the main fabrications.

The lightweight sweaters had a fun, collegiate feel.

Loved the hoodies.

Man Romper! (Man-per?) This was one of my favorite pieces.
