New York Fashion Week: Yoana Baraschi AW2011

Yoana Baraschi's fall/winter 2011 collection was a colorful presentation of textural fabrications like bouclé, tweeds, and faux fur, mixed with softer silks and chiffons. The emphasis was on autumnal colors like cognac and camel, but it was mixed with pops of yellow, azure, and fuchsia. The textural coats are paired with bold graphic prints on the shirts and dresses.

Backstage the MAKE UP FOR EVER team was giving the models 2 different eyeshadow combos, both with a glossy finish. The first was a purple version, where the makeup artists mixed Flash Color #6 in Violet, and #18 in Wine Red, then applied this color on the lid up to the crease. Next they created a 2-tone effect by applying MUFE Eye Shadow in #75 on top of and inside the Flash Color line.
For the rusty red version they mixed Flash Color #5 in Fuschia, #17 in Red, and #1 in Carmin for and again applied this on the lids up to the crease. For the second tone, they used Eye Shadow #18.
Once both these color versions were complete, the makeup artists used Glossy Full in clear on top of the shadow to give the color a glossy effect.
Then the inner corner of the eyes were lined with Concealer Pencil to finish off the look.
