New York Fashion Week: Backstage at Tracy Reese Fall 2014

Tracy Reese went a very different route for the beauty look for the models wearing her Fall 2014 collection.  Rather than sending out a bunch of girls that all look the same, Reese encouraged the beauty team to embrace each model's individual beauty.  For the hair, the Ouidad team was encouraged to work with the models' individual texture, while the makeup team had the daunting task of giving the models different looks according to their mood that day.
Hair: Morgan Willhite for Ouidad
The hair look here was all about volume and natural texture.  Girls with finer hair were prepped with Ouidad Wave Create Spray &/or PlayCurl Volumizing Spray.  Almost every girl got some Ouidad Styling Mist Setting & Holding Spray to hold the look while they were walking down the runway.  Girls with thicker hair or damaged hair got prepped with Ouidad Salon Series Mongongo Oil Multi-Use Hair Treatment.

Makeup: Mally Roncal for Mally Beauty
The makeup is difficult to describe, since each girl got a look to complement her mood.  Some of these little pixies got whimsical glitter, while some of the fierce girls had a natural face with a bold, standout brow.  What all the models have in common is that Mally started with flawless, natural looking skin with Mally's famed foundations and concealers.  Also, every girl got some eyeshadow color from Mally's Pro-Tricks Shadow Palette and a healthy brow using Mally's Brow Beauty Ultimate Brow Kit.

Nails: TracyLee for Sally Hansen
I always get excited to see the collaboration between Tracy Reese and Sally Hansen, and this is the SEVENTEENTH consecutive season that they've partnered together to come up with affordable nail colors for us folks on a budget.  These colors, that come out in September 2014,  gave the models the effect of broken glass as they were walking down the runway, and all it takes is a couple coats from the Complete Salon Manicure line (no base coat, no top coat, nothing!).  The girls that wore Chili Flakes (red and gold glitter) wore only that color, while the girls that wore Shattered Stars (silver glitter) got a coat of the grey Somber Bliss before the glitter was applied.
