New York Fashion Week: Backstage at Jill Stuart Fall 2013

The beauty look backstage for Jill Stuart's Fall 2013 show was young, fresh, and easy-breezy.  The look is natural and purposefully undone, making it something we can all recreate at home.
Hair: Odile Gilbert for Kérastase
Odile created a middle part, and prepped damp hair with Mousse Volumactive.  Hair was blown dry with a diffuser and fingers (no brushes), and sprayed with Double Force Hairspray as she went.  Next Odile created loose waves in the hair with using a large barrel curling iron, curling just from mid-length to the ends, and curling large sections at a time.
She used Fibre Architecte just at the ends of the hair for smoothness, but used her fingers
to fluff the hair at the top to keep it textural.  The hair was finished with Double Force
Hairspray to hold the waves, but not crunchy or untouchable.

A little blurry, but the hair is too good not to post.

Makeup: Diane Kendal
Kendal is pretty well known for her flawless, au natural makeup looks, making her the perfect artist to create this youthful look.  The look was created with mostly cream colors to give that second-skin effect.  She used MAC Pro Sculpting Cream in Richly Honed to create depth in the crease, and then filled in the eyebrows with MAC eyeshadow in Brun.  No mascara was used, but Kendal used a little eyeliner to fill in between the top lashes.  Jill Stuart Lipstick in #23, Drip Drop, was patted onto the cheeks as a blush, and the look was finished.
