BeautyByBenz approved: Hourglass No 28 primer serum

If you're ready for a flawless makeup application then you're ready for Hourglass Cosmetics No. 28 Primer Serum.  This is a concentrated oil blend that's good for most skin types (even oily skin!) and it's a serious time-saver.  Why add a ton of steps to your skincare and makeup routine when you can find a skincare product like this that multi-tasks?  It's a serum, making it perfect to prep your skin for makeup application, but it's also nourishing.  (It's so nourishing, in fact, that you can wear it on its own at night as a treatment oil).  Vitamins and lipids help to fortify the skin against aggressors like stress and UV damage, so you can skip the extra serums and such that you use along with your moisturizer during these cold winter months, and go straight to this primer/serum step.

Free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates and synthetic dyes, this formula relies on Mother Nature's finest ingredients to give you the silky skin of your dreams.  It gets its name from the 28 oils and vitamins that make your skin look so good:

14 Essential Oils: Lavender, geranium, rose geranium, vanilla, clove, orange peel, amyris, lemon peel, petitgrain, eucalyptus, rosemary leaf, bois de rose, cedar leaf, and ylang ylang.  (As you can imagine, this stuff smells incredible).
10 Plant Oils: Jojoba, rose hip, evening primrose, hazelnut, borage seed, kukui nut, sweet almond,  green tea, olive, and cherry pit.
4 Vitamins: A, B5, C and E.

The smallest bit goes a long way, so you can pay $22 for the small version (10ml), but once you're hooked on this magic potion it won't take you long to run out and buy the full size bottle ($65 for 30ml).  This product definitely gets a stamp of approval from me, but you have to try it to believe it.

  1. It's really hard to get a product that has great staying power with oily skin. Will have to give this product a try. Thanks for the review.
