Backstage at Cushnie Et Ochs Spring 2013

A line as chic and sexy as Cushnie Et Ochs deserves a beauty look that isn't over-complicated and emphasizes the sleek lines of the collection.  Nothing like a mod cat-eye and severely straight hair to make the boys and the girls both swoon when the leggy models come down the runway.
Makeup:
Charlotte Willer and her team used all Maybelline products to make the models look flawless.
She prepped the skin with Dream Fresh BB Cream for a lightweight, natural looking complexion.  The emphasis was on the eyes here, so she started by framing the face with brows that were filled in with Maybelline Eye Studio Master Shape Brow Pencil.  Next she drew a cat eye with Eye Studio Master Drama Cream Pencil in Midnight Master, then used Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black on top of the original line for maximum intensity.  Volum' Express The Falsies Flared Mascara finished off the eyes.  ColorSensational Lip Color in Totally Toffee was the perfect nude color to complement the look, followed by Baby Lips in Quench for just a hint of shine.

Hair:

Antonio Corral Calero, Moroccanoil's Artistic Director, gave the models super straight and shiny locks.  Any curly haired girl out there (like myself) thought Patti Stanger was completely full of it when she said that guys only like straight hair... But when seeing sleek hair like this I start to have crazy thoughts that she might have been on to something.  The look is easy to achieve, fortunately for us at home, and the healthy, shiny look is all courtesy of the Argan Oil in the Moroccanoil products that were used.
Antonio started by applying Moroccanoil Treatment from the roots to ends on damp hair, followed by a small amount of new Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse (available in October) before blowing dry with a round Moroccanoil Ionic Ceramic Brush.  One of the tricks he used to keep the hair super straight was to not curl the hair at the ends when blowing dry.  Then he pulled the hair behind the ears and rubbed a bit of Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream throughout the hair, and flat-ironed it section by section.
Next he made a strong middle part and smoothed the sides of the hair. He finished the look with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium and a mist of Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray.
