Kérastase Densifique Collection

A woman’s hair can be her calling card.  In this country we value full and shiny hair.  It’s a sign of youth.  It can be a sign of femininity.  So many different people will judge a woman with a single glance based on her hair.  I won’t get into all the reasons why I think that is a bunch of B.S., but for women who suffer from any sort of hair issues, Kérastase is offering some solutions to make life a little easier on you.  Women experience hair density changes AT ANY AGE, mostly as a result of stress.  You might not think about it when you’re 20, but the major life changes you’re going through at that time can affect your hair in similar ways to someone who is experiencing hormonal changes at 50.  Cue the new Densifique collection by Kérastase. 

We hear a lot of marketing surrounding hair products and what's the most effective; you have to start at the roots!  You have to repair the ends!  Yada, yada.  But the Densifique collection thinks that you need to target your whole head of hair; roots, lengths, and ends.  Kérastase targets these 3 zones with a new "renewal" complex made of ceramides, peptides, and hyaluronic acid to replicate some of the body's natural processes of keeping hair soft, supple, and full.  The point is that no matter what the hair problem is caused by (stress, age, etc), these products can help you get your youthful, lush hair back.        

The products in the line include:

Densifique Bain Densité ($39)

This cleanser is formulated with Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid, to strengthen the hair while cleansing.   

Densifique Masque Densité ($62.50)

This hair mask is unique because the texture is more of a gel than your usual masks.  This treatment contains Gluco-Peptides and Hyaluronic Acid that promise pretty immediate results (leave on for 3-5 minutes to let the product sink in).  

Densifique Densimorphose Mousse ($42)

This mousse was inspired by skincare products, using Hyaluronic Acid and Gluco-Peptides, for immediate, noticeable volume.  This makes the hair light, shiny, and volumized without weighing the hair down.  Word on the streets is that this could be one of those covetable, cult products that Kérastase

is known for.  

Besides the at-home products, there is also a salon treatment (price may vary by salon location) made with Pro Calcium to immediately offer denser, plumper strands.  Results of the at-home and in-salon treatments are pretty immediate, but over time hair is stronger and healthier.  I'm totally sold and will be trying these products, especially the mousse.  I'm already a die-hard Kérastase lover, so these products are a no-brainer for me.
