I feel compelled to post about this because I have a slight obsession with Diptyque candles and because I love free stuff. Isn't everything better when it's free? Through August 19th at NYC Diptyque boutiques, the company is celebrating fig harvest season with a gift with any $150 purchase you make. The gift is a printed tote bag with a deluxe sample of Philosykos Eau de Toilette and a mini Figuier candle. When does that ever happen? If you're not familiar with these scents, they're all about the figs. Philosykos is greek for "friend of the fig tree" and is a celebration of all parts of the tree; the delicious fruit, the fresh green notes of the leaves, and the warm wood. Figuier is like the candle version of the personal fragrance, so you can smell delicious and so can your home. It's a little milky (like the fruit itself), a little woodsy, and a little green.
So while I don't NEED to spend any money these days, I'll probably partake in a little Diptyque shopping between now and August 19th so I can get the fun freebies of some of my favorite scents.
