New York Fashion Week: Libertine Spring 2014

Hair:  Akemi Tamaribuchi for Kérastase
This hair was all about texture and ease.  The hair was rough-dried with hands after an application of Kérastase Mousse Volumique.  The hair was then pulled back into a ponytail, wrapping some of the hair around the ponytail so you couldn't see the elastic band that was used, and roughed up a little with Kérastase Short Mania.  The Kérastase team sprayed the hair with Powder Bluff for added texture.  A little extension of black hair was placed on each model's right side, and the look was finished with Kérastase Lacque Dentelle.

Makeup and nails: Katie Hughes for Butter London
Makeup:
Katie kept the skin natural, just using a little tinted moisturizer on each girl.  She focused on the eyes in this makeup look, using butter LONDON WINK Eye Pencil in Union Jack Black on the bottom lash line and smudging with her fingers for a slept-in effect.  Next, she used butter LONDON WINK Mascara in Union Jack Black on the lashes, and the WINK Mascara in Brown Sugar to define the brows.  For even more rocker edge, Katie used Vaseline on the lids of the eyes for a slight gloss.  Three black crystals were applied below the right eye to complement the crystals in the Libertine collection.  Katie used butter LONDON LIPPY Balm in Toasted Marshmallow for a neutral lip color, and then added a touch of butter LONDON LIPPY Balm in Black Cherry just in the center of the lip, patted in with her fingers.

Nails:
Katie started with a base of butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in Union Jack Black.  Next, she used several colors of holographic foil, crystals, and a small red pom-pom on the accent nails.  For a final touch, she used the same crystals from the makeup look on the middle finger, extending the nail art onto the hand.
