New York Fashion Week: Charlotte Ronson Spring 2014

So many things I want from the collection!  The cut-outs, the peplums, the mixed fabrications.  It's almost too much to have to wait for these to come out in spring.

This backpack almost makes me wish I was a schoolgirl again.  Almost.

The beauty look backstage at Charlotte Ronson's Spring 2014 presentation was natural, effortless, and a bit playful.  The skin was kept luminous, the hair was tousled, and the nails were polka-dotted perfection.
Makeup: Romy Soleimani for Beauty.com
To keep the skin looking youthful, Soleimani started by moisturizing the skin with No7 Lift & Illuminate Day Cream before evening out the skin tone with No7 Protect & Perfect Foundation.  No7 Radiant Glow Concealer was used as needed to camouflage any imperfections.  No7 Skin Illuminator kept the skin looking glowy as well.  For a subtly smokey eye, she used No7 Stay Perfect Amazing Eyes Pencil, No7 Stay Perfect Smoothing Eye Shadow, and No7 Stay Perfect Eye Shadow Trio, before finishing the eyes off with some No7 Lash Adapt Mascara.  A youthful, playful lip was the finishing touch with No7 Sheer Temptation Lipstick.
Hair: Sexy Hair
If you've ever wanted to master the look of "effortless Parisian girl hair" (as I always try and frequently fail), then here are some ideas from behind the scenes at Ronson's show. Since the models had been running around from show to show all day, the hair was already dried, so the Sexy Hair team used Style Sexy Hair Spray Clay to enhance hair’s natural texture and create some volume in hair that may have been falling flat as the day wore on. If hair the hair was really fine and/or flat, they used Big Sexy Hair Powder Play to pump up the volume as well.  They created a deep side part in the hair and used a 1.25” barrel curling iron on large sections to create random waves throughout the hair.  On the side of the hair where the part was heavier, the team used a flat iron to straighten out the bangs, and pinned the hair behind the ear.  The look was finished with Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Touchable Hair Spray.
Nails: Color Club
