Makeup: Alice Lane for Maybelline
Lane prepped the skin with Maybelline Fit Me foundation for a semi-sheer, dewy finish so that the focus would remain on the eye. She used Maybelline Color Tattoo in Too Cool (white) as eyeliner, but extended it out past the eye and smudged for an undone finish. Maybelline Dream Bouncy blush in Candy Coral was used on the cheeks (not just the apples, but all over the cheeks) and applied with fingers. No brush necessary. To finish the look, Lane used loads of the sheer Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me for just a hint of color, but a ton of moisture.
The nail art that Jin Soon came up with for the Tibi show actually means "all right" in a visual language developed by nomads in the 1920's. (These nomads used signs to help each other navigate their way). Jin Soon created a white with a blue-grey hue to it, that will be available in Spring 2014. After 2 coats of the white shade, she painted black lines with a nail art brush in the "all right" symbol, using the Obsidian color that is available now.
