Get the look: Kerry Washington at the 2013 Emmy Awards

Who: Kerry Washington
What: 2013 Emmy Awards
Makeup: Carola Gonzalez
Hair: Marcus Francis
Makeup How-to:
Washington's skin always looks flawless, but Gonzalez really ramped up that beautiful airbrush-like finish at the Emmy's tonight by priming the skin with Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer, and perfecting with Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation in warm beige. Any imperfections were concealed with Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer in honey.

Next, Gonzalez sculpted Washington's brows with my favorite brow pencil; Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Dark Brunette.

For the eyes, she used the mauve shimmer shade from Hourglass Visionaire Eye Shadow Duo in Exhibition to the inner corner of Washington's lids, and then used the eggplant shimmer shade on the outer edge of the eye and beneath the bottom lash line.
After blending the two shades together, she used the Hourglass Script Precision Liner in Jett to line the eyes.  She finished the eyes with three coats of Hourglass Film Noir Full Spectrum Mascara.

Next, Gonzalez sculpted the face with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Radiant Light on Washington's cheekbones, forehead, nose and chin, before using some Lancôme Blush Subtil in Sparkling Rose on the apples of the cheeks.

To finish the look, Gonzalez prepped Washington's lips with Hourglass No. 28 Lip Treatment Oil to nourish the lips before applying Hourglass Extreme Sheen Lip Gloss in Truth for the perfect nude lip.

Hair How-to:
Francis started by conditioning Washington's hair with Leonor Greyl Masque Quintessence for 15 minutes before cleansing with Shampooing Reviviscence.
On towel-dried hair, Francis sprayed Leonor Greyl Condition Naturelle to protect her hair from heat, along with some Mousse au Lotus Volumatrice on the ends for bounce.  Next, he blew the hair dry with a medium size round brush and set hair with a large velcro roller at the crown to give some height.  He sprayed Leonor Greyl Voluforme on 2" sections of hair before curling each section with a 1 1/4" barrel curling iron and pinning the sections to hold the curl.
After the pinned sections had cooled, he brushed out her hair to soften the curls. He let out the velcro roller at the top and gently teased that part for a little additional height. Then, he used a quarter-sized amount of Leonor Greyl Éclat Naturel styling cream to smooth any unwanted frizz.
To finish the look, he tucked Washington's hair behind her ear and used a bobby pin to keep it in place, using a final spritz of Spray Structure Naturelle for hold.
