How-to:
-To start, Mayfield used a small amount of René Furterer OKARA light activating leave-in fluid on Miley’s towel-dried hair, working the product through to the ends. This gave her hair moisture and shine.
-Next, he used René Furterer VOLUMEA volumizing foam from Miley’s scalp to her ends, using a Mason Pearson brush to evenly distribute. This gave her hair volume and hold.
-Using a BarBar 3800 blow dryer, he rough-dried (aka, just using your hands and not your brush) the hair until it was about 75% dry.
-Next, he sectioned the hair and blew it out using a medium-sized Ibiza boar bristle round brush until the hair was completely dry. He made sure to round the left side in order to get the height and shape he wanted. As he moved further to the right he begin to blow the hair straight to create an asymmetric shape.
-Next, Mayfield back-combed sections from the flipped left side so it would hold in its place.
-Mayfield coated his hands with 1/2 a dime-sized amount of René Furterer Modeling Paste and worked the product into the top of Miley’s hair, avoiding the root area.
-Next, he lightly sprayed the left back-combed root section with René Furterer NATURIA dry shampoo for texture and fullness.
-Mayfield lightly misted the hair with René Furterer VEGETAL Finishing Spray to set it.
-Once Miley’s hair was set, Mayfield coated his hands with one pump of René Furterer KARITÉ leave-in repairing serum to smooth out the ends, and make sure there were no fly-aways.
-To finish the look, Mayfield lightly misted the hair with René Furterer VEGETAL Finishing Spray to keep the look in place all evening.
