Favorite sunscreens for the upcoming beach season

Gone are the days of high-powered sunscreens that leave a white residue all over your skin.  I'm constantly on a mission to get sunscreen that is SPF 30 or higher that doesn't have all the icky residue, and this summer it seems like my prayers have been answered.  New formulas out there not only don't leave a residue, but they have skincare benefits to help give you your best skin possible.  These upgraded sunscreens are chock full of antioxidants, moisturizers, and soothing ingredients.  Check out some of my favorites for this beach season:
Supergoop Antioxidant-Infused Sunscreen Mist with Vitamin C ($13-$19)
As the name states, this formula is infused with antioxidants to help protect against the environmental damage while it's protecting you from the sun.  Vitamin C helps to even out the skin tone, and the spray mechanism (which has a twist lock for when you're traveling) allows for even distribution.  There's no oily residue and it doesn't smell bad, like sunscreens of yore.  The formula is water resistant (up to 80 minutes) and comes in SPF 30 or 50.

L'Oréal Sublime Sun Sheer Protect Sunscreen Oil ($10.99)
If you love skincare oils like I do, you'll love this sunscreen oil that is a mixture of argan, shea, grapeseed, and sunflower oils.  It absorbs easily into the skin, smells fantastic, and will leave your skin feeling super soft.  Not to mention you will look totally hot with glistening skin, rather than like a nerd on the beach covered in white stuff (which is generally how I look whilst at the beach).  It comes in SPF 15, 30, or 50, making it the only brand on the market to offer such a high protection in a sunscreen oil.  Also, L’Oréal Paris has partnered with the Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA) on a three year research grant and will also be donating $1 for every SPF product sold to the MRA throughout the summer.  So while you're getting your bronze on, you're also helping out with a good cause!

Alba Botanica Natural Very Emollient Sunscreen ($10.99)

This is more like your typical sunscreen in that it's a standard lotion formula, but it's certainly not typical with its ingredients.  It contains green tea, grape seed oil, vitamin E, aloe vera, lavender, and chamomile to soothe and nourish the skin while blocking the sun's harmful rays.  The facial formula is non-comedogenic so it won't clog pores (SPF 30), and
also comes in a Lavender formula, one for kids, and a sport formula (SPF 45).  This is something you can feel good about applying to your sensitive skin, or your little ones without feeling like they're going to be absorbing a bunch of toxins.

Jason Soothing 98% Aloe Vera Pure Natural Moisturizing Gel
Ok, ok.  This one is not a sunscreen, but it belongs on the list anyways.  I think the after-sun care is just as important as protecting your skin while it's in the sun.  Even if you wear sunscreen every day, you can benefit from the healing and soothing properties of Aloe Vera.  It's great for sunburns, or just cooling down the skin on a hot day.  My sensitive skin peeps out there should always have this on hand as far as I'm concerned.
