Sneak peek: Illamasqua's Paranormal collection for summer 2013

My inner nerd was very excited to hear that Illamasqua's new Summer 2013 collection is called Paranormal.  I spend way too much time watching sexy vampires &/or sexy vampire hunters on TV to NOT get excited about a name like that.  But more than that, I was excited to see Illamasqua's interpretation of a parallel reality.  The word Paranormal suggests a realm that is other-worldly, intriguing, and unexpected, and who else could deliver this to us but Illamasqua?  Available at Sephora on April 30th, here's a sneak peek at what is in store for us:
Paranormal Palette ($46.50)-
This palette has an extremely unique texture.  The cream colors in this palette are almost gummy to the touch, but dry down to a lovely powder finish that will last all day.  The colors can be applied for a sheer wash of color, mixed together for unexpected shades, or packed on for high-impact.

Gleam in Supernatural ($26)
This new highlighting cream is a warm bronze shade to create a halo of light on the upper cheekbones, or to emphasize your cupid's bow, or even the arch of your brow.

Limited edition Paranormal UV Nail Varnish ($17 each)
This collection includes 3 new nail colors that look like bright metallics in the day light, but in UV light they are transformed.  There is also a UV topcoat that glows under UV light, that you can wear over any color you already own.

Illamasqua's U.S. Nail Ambassador, Fleury Rose, shows just how versatile these shades can be with some cool nail art ideas below.  In normal light, it looks awesome enough, but then once a UV light is applied it adds a whole other dimension to the nail art.

Another fab idea from Fleury Rose: paint your nail art on with the UV topcoat.  In daylight it looks like your nails are just a solid color, but under UV light it's a completely different manicure.  It's almost like having 2 manicures in one!
