My holiday vacation picks from B-Glowing.com

I guess a lot of people go away on vacation around this time of year, but I usually don't.  I usually go away in the spring when it's still freezing in NY but warm wherever I go.  I guess I'm going on the opposite end of the holiday season this time, as it's just really starting to get cold.  Regardless... with my birthday looming this week, I'm going away to Puerto Rico with the bf and I couldn't be more excited to get away.  But going away when it's cold here and warm somewhere else brings up all sorts of issues.  I'm pale, my skin is dry, I've switched my haircare routine for the cold weather... you get my drift.  And then there's the issue of caring for my skin when I get back home to the cold weather.  Fortunately I was able to turn to my friends at B-Glowing.com, who've just newly re-launched their site to look better than ever, to stock up on some vacation-prep favorites.

Pre-sun necessities:

GlamGlow Mud Mask ($69)-
Regardless of how much sunscreen I wear while I'm on vacation, my sun will be exposed to a certain amount of the sun's rays and if I don't want to come back looking all splotchy and crazy, it's important to have smooth, clear skin before I go.  Cue GlamGlow Mud Mask, which is made of... well... mud.  But fancy mud from Southern France that is high in ancient volcanic pumice rock, antioxidants and minerals.  What this means is gentle exfoliation for illuminated skin that is smooth in texture.

St. Tropez Gradual Self-Tanning Mousse ($30)-
After skin has been properly exfoliated I like to use this lightweight mousse to build a faux tan before I get on the plane.  The aloe vera-infused formula has Aromaguard™ fragrance technology, so that nasty self-tan smell is virtually eliminated.  That means I get the tan, but don't have to deal with the annoying aspects of the self-tanning process.

Puerto Rico necessities:

Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder in Candlelight ($42)-
Vacation skin needs very little to make it glowy and delicious.  Resting and eating good, fresh food certainly helps... but if I'm a little hungover from too many Mango Tangoes (which I intend to be on day 2), I will probably need a little help from this miracle powder.
The Celestial Powder is a subtle illuminator that can go on the high planes of the face or the décolletage for a glow that is innocent, rather than overt.  And since it's subtle, it works on just about any skin tone, so I know it will look good on day 1 when I look ghostly, and on the very last day when I'm all Gisele-looking.

Butter London Hen Party Lippy ($17)
Hen Party LIPPY is an online exclusive available only at b-glowing, and it's perfect for my vacation or any upcoming holiday parties I have on the calendar.  It's a sheer, opalescent color that makes me feel like a princess.  Whether it's when the ball drops on New Year's or when I'm pool-side in P.R., this color will be in my makeup bag.

Post-sun necessities:

CV Skinlabs Restorative Skin Balm ($26)
This is a petrolatum-free, gel formulation, nourishing salve to help heal and protect damaged skin.  This could mean sunburnt skin (cross your fingers this doesn't happen, I'll be wearing SPF60!) or it could mean wintery, dry skin on your lips and cuticles.

Free Your Mane Intensive Hydrating Hair Masque ($20):
My friends at B-Glowing call this "a miracle in a tube". Free Your Mane Intensive Hydrating Hair Masque was developed to accelerate your hair’s repair & rejuvenation process, so it's perfect for post-vaca.  It helps seals damaged ends, eliminates frizz, and extends color life.  Not to mention it smells great.

Many thanks to my friends at B-Glowing for helping me get ready for my vacation, and all my crucial life events!  If you haven't checked out their newly re-vamped site, check it out now.
