Mani Monday: Halloween nails inspired by Prabal Gurung Spring 2013 show

Well Hurricane Sandy is a real pain in my side.  I'm dying of boredom over here so I decided to attempt the dripping, oxblood-colored nails from the Prabal Gurung Spring 2013 runway show.  I have to say, it's surprisingly easy!

Unfortunately the Sally Hansen color used at the show (Prabal Gurung for Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Angel Bite) is not out until March 2013, but I was able to use the equally budget-friendly shade by Rimmel London; Burgundy Flirt.
So how to create this look?  Super easy.  First, you'll need something like this to use as a tool:
This is a really thin brush from another nail polish bottle, but you can also use a really thin makeup brush or paint brush.
All you need to do is drop and drag.  Drop/dot a small amount of red polish on the nail using the thin brush, and then drag the drop towards the tip of the nail.

Once you've dropped and dragged a few spots on each nail (I'm finding 2 to be the optimal amount on "blood" streaks, 3 starts to get crowded), use the brush to connect the drops on the tip, almost like you're doing a French manicure.

Give the drops a few seconds to dry and then finish off with a topcoat.  Simple as that!
