Going away this weekend? Pack these beauty items in your bag

Packing a small bag for a weekend getaway is extremely hard to do.  I can pack a giant suitcase and a carry-on like it's nobody's business, but an overnight bag?  Impossible!  I love my beauty products and parting with some of them, even for a weekend, is like torture.  However, since this is Memorial Day weekend and people are undoubtedly going to need SMALL bags filled with necessary toiletries, here are some of my suggestions to take with you to make your beauty routine flawless:

Paul Labrecque Repair Style hydrating hair lotion ($22)- For that perfect beachy hair this is an amazing product.  It smells fantastic and it has aloe vera, lavender, and seaweed extracts to help infuse back the moisture that you may have lost on the beach or due to heat styling.   This is great for gals with natural wave or curl to just run through hair after cleansing to control, protect, and nourish.  This is also great to use before heat styling… which bring me to my next item for perfect hair this weekend.
Goody Wave Creator styling iron- If you need a little help in the above category because you don't have any natural texture to your hair, might I suggest this inexpensive and slender tool?  It won't take up much room in your bag because it's so skinny, and it will give you those perfect waves if your hair is more on the straight side (or even if your hair is curly and you need to control the waves a bit).  You have so many options with this guy… tight curls, loose waves, whatever you need.  Remember that video I did a while back on beach waves?  You can totally cheat that look with this iron!
Too Faced Royal Oil ($35)- This bronzing coconut oil gives legs (or arms, or entire body) the perfect glow.  The subtle bronze tint looks healthy rather than orange, and the coconut oil gives a light sheen while it moisturizes.  Mangosteen fruit oils help moisturize and act as an anti-oxidant, so legs are gorgeous all day, but even once you wash it off the skin is actually improved with each use.

Dr LeWinn Kinerase Wrinkle Repair Daily Lotion with SPF30 ($25)- This lightweight lotion is perfect for daily use, but it’s on this list because of the amazing healing effects it has on sensitized skin.  Even people who don’t regularly have sensitive skin should take better care when sun, salt, sand, and sangria are involved.  (At least that’s how I intend to spend MY weekend).  Skin irritants are everywhere, and you need something that protects, heals, and soothes.  The SPF is crucial, the formula is non-greasy, and it’s paraben-free, dye-free, and fragrance-free, making it less irritating to sunburnt or damaged skin than a scented lotion.

OleHenriksen Ultimate Lift Eye Gel roll-on ($28)- The original Ultimate Lift Eye Gel is amazing as it is, but this rollerball version deserves a spot in my beach bag, my makeup bag, my medicine cabinet... you get my drift.  The stainless steel rollerball gives you an instant cooling effect without having to tug at your delicate under-eye skin with your fingers, and the gel texture is delightful when compared a heavy cream.  Peptides, Calendula extract, cucumber, and Arginine team up to lift, brighten, and tighten under your eyes.  This little item (that's not even as tall as my Iphone) really de-puffs as it cools, making it perfect for early mornings or after a post-beach nap.

Lorac Wild For Tantalizer collection ($39)- Since I'm ASSUMING you will be going out for dinner or drinks during your weekend away, I must recommend this affordable and beautiful makeup kit to take with you.  The set includes a Lips With Benefits gloss in Raoul (a universally-flattering peachy bronze shade), a limited edition Animal Print Face Bronzer, and an absolutely stunning eyeshadow quad in gold and bronze shades that looks great on every skin tone.  All housed in a little safari-esque makeup bag, this is a great value and will probably end up being my go-to makeup for the entire summer.
