New York Fashion Week: Charlotte Ronson AW2012

Backstage at Charlotte Ronson the beauty teams at TRESemmé and Sephora strayed from the normal boho feel of Ronson's past collections, and went for a decidedly more grown-up look.  The sleek ponytail, red lip, and pastel eye were meant to give a sort of aprés-ski feel to go along with the chunky, textural sweaters that are seen throughout the collection.
Hair:
TRESemmé lead stylist Jeanie Syfu prepped the models with TRESemmé Split Remedy Leave-In treatment before blowing the hair back away from the forehead with a flat brush.  After hair was dried Jeanie pulled out a few pieces from the hairline (just a bit right in front of the ears) to create a wind-blown effect.  Leaving the wispy pieces alone, TRES Ultra Firm Control Gel was applied to the front hairline and combed back with a fine-toothed comb, then all the hair besides the wispy pieces was pulled into a ponytail.  Hair was then locked into place with 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray.

Makeup:
The Sephora Pro team, led by Gilbert Soliz, used some of the Chalotte Ronson makeup products that I've been dying to try in order to create this look.  The Chalotte Ronson All Eye Need eyeshadow palette  in Dani was used with MAKE UP FOR EVER eye shadow in #92, and then topped off with DiorShow mascara in Black.  For the glowy skin that you see, Soliz used Charlotte Ronson's 3x A Charm luminizer, blush, and bronzer combo.  For the red lips Soliz used a combo of Sephora Collection Lip Attitude lipstick in Red Flirt and Rosy Frivol.

Nails:
The folks at Color Club developed a custom color for the CR show that's not available in stores yet, but I'm hoping will be eventually.  The deep purple color that was developed for the show was complimented by painting on a thin tip with their Art Club Stripers in Black.

The finished product:
