New York Fashion Week: 2012 Red Dress collection

The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection celebrated its 10 year anniversary tonight with a star-studded cast.    Most women in our country don't know that the #1 killer of women here is heart disease, but the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute has been partnering with designers for 10 years now in trying to raise awareness.  It's such a magical evening of involvement and partnership to help spread the word on things that you can do to improve your heart health and make this killer of women obsolete.  Talking with nail polish guru Deborah Lippmann backstage, we were baffled at how many women out there (ourselves included) didn't know about the rate of heart disease in women until we heard it at the Red Dress show, so we really can spread the word through fashion!  Here are some of the designers and celebrities that also want you to be aware of the presence of this disease:
Rebecca Romijn in Marchesa

Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland in David Meister

Christie Brinkley in Pamella Roland

Patti Stanger in Marc Bouwer

Jenna Elfman looking stunning in Alberta Ferretti (loving her hair right now!)

Chaka Khan in Chris March

Rose McGowan in Roberto Cavalli

Minka Kelly in DVF

Final walkthrough, including Glamour's Editor-in-Chief Cindi Leive in Jason Wu
Some backstage action:
