Get the look: Maya Rudolph at the 2012 Oscars

Ok so I must admit that part of the reason I love Maya Rudolph is because, like me, she’s ½ black. Don’t judge. I like Slash, Alicia Keys, and Obama for the same reason. Aren’t mixed babies THE cutest babies? BUT I also appreciate their talents! And Maya is one talented mama. She’s curvy, she’s funny. I just love her. Anyways, did you notice how amazing her hair was on the Red Carpet last night? Here’s how TRESemme stylist John D created her luscious waves.

- Prep towel-dried hair by combing a generous amount of TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Mousse through it before blowing dry with a round brush.

-Using a 1½” barrel-curling iron, curl hair in 1” sections, spraying each section with TRESemmé Thermal Creations Curl Activator Spray to protect hair from all that heat.
- After curling each section, gently pull on the section with fingertips to loosen the curl. This is a fancy stylist trick that you will always see backstage during Fashion Week or at awards shows!
-Create a deep side part on the right side and pull all the hair over the left shoulder. Spray TRESemmé TRES Two Ultra Fine Mist on a bristle brush, gently brushing through curls to create shiny, smooth waves (another great trick to loosen up your curls if they’re too tight).
-Fasten the style with a few bobby pins at the nape of the neck and finish with TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray.
