Get the look: celebs at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2012

The Vanity Fair Oscar Party is undoubtedly the most glamorous party in Hollywood. While you may not have been there, you can certainly replicate some of the makeup and hair looks at home! Here were some of my faves:
Who: Kate Bosworth

Hair: Laini Reeves for Couture Colour Pequi Oil
“Kate is a classic beauty, I wanted her hair look to match – simple and clean”
How to:
Laini first applied a generous amount of Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment to wet hair before blowdrying. After the hair was dry, Laini backcombed the roots with a teasing comb for volume, and then pulled the hair back into a ponytail using a Mason Pearson brush. Laini then split the ponytail in two parts, wrapping each around each other to create a rope texture, fastening with bobby pins as she went.
Who: Rashida Jones

Makeup: Jamie Greenberg for mark.
How to: Jamie prepped Rashida’s skin with mark Primed for Perfection Face Primer then used Min-A-Real Cream-to-Powder Foundation to create her canvas. She used mark Matte-Nificent Oil-Absorbing Powder to set the look and prevent shine. For a subtle glow, Jamie used mark Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes All Over Face Palette and then Good Glowing Custom Pick Powder Blush in Cameo Glo on the cheeks. Jamie used mark Please Hold Eye Primer so Rashida’s eye makeup wouldn’t budge throughout the night. Jamie smudged mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Plum Velvet and Luvstruck on her lids to emphasize her light eyes, then lined they eyes with mark No Place To Run Longwear Eyeliner in Jet Set. For a little added drama she smudged the Plum Velvet on top of the eyeliner, then finished the eyes with two coats of mark Scanda-Lash Hook Up Mascara.

Who: Selena Gomez

Hair: John D. for TRESemme
How to:
“I wanted to create a retro bob for Selena, inspired by the glamorous actresses of days gone by.”

Starting with hair around the face, John took 1-2 inch sections and curled with a medium barrel curling iron, spraying each section with TRESemmé Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Spray along the way. After curling each section, he secured them with clips, allowing the curls to set (in traditional pin curl fashion). He sprayed the set with TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray and allowed the curls to cool. After removing all the pins, he started gently brushing the hair out, and then tucked the hair under to the desired bob length, securing with bobby pins as he went. He finished the look with TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray to keep the look in place.
