Hair: Robert Steinken for Moroccanoil.
What Robert had to say about the look:
“…I envisioned a style with the sophisticated sexiness of Brigitte Bardot, but modern and sexy without looking retro. I also gave the hair a sleek, shiny and luminous look that was soft and full of movement.”
How to:
-Robert started with damp hair that he sprayed with Moroccanoil Frizz Control ($32) hydrate and, of course, prevent frizz.
-Next he used Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream (one of his favorites!) to give texture and soft hold, but still allowing for movement.
-He then blew the hair dry in 2-3” sections using a round medium-size Moroccanoil Ionic Ceramic Brush, letting each section cool for about 10-15 seconds after removing the heat to set the hair. (A great tip for eliminating frizz when blowdrying your hair!).
-After the blowout was complete, Robert used a 1” curling iron to wrap the sections of hair in a spiral shape. He held each section for 15-20 seconds, then pinned the curl and allowed them to cool, spraying with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray ($21). After cooling her unpinned and brushed the hair out.
-After creating a center part, Robert backcombed the hair at the crown for height, starting 3-4” inches back from the hairline (spraying with more Moroccanoil Luminious Hairspray as he went).
-The final steps were to section hair behind the top of each ear, bringing both sides together in the back and pinning in to a twist. He finished the style with Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray ($25.80) for some extra shine.
