My Fashion Week beauty survival kit

I would be lying if I said I was fully recovered from NY Fashion Week. I feel a gaping hole of loss that I’m not running from show to show, but I’m so glad to be able to rest my weary eyes (and legs). Whether you’re running around for Fashion Week, or you just have a busy work or Holiday schedule, these are some of my favorite products that helped me get through a rather hectic week:

Chloé Signature Solid Perfume Necklace ($60)-

This locket holds Chloé’s signature solid perfume and I obviously wore it as jewelry as well. After my camera, my Flip camera, my Iphone, my makeup, and my show invites, there’s not much room for a perfume bottle is there? This way I could just wear it around my neck and dab it on whenever I felt like it. The signature fragrance has top notes of rose and peony, middle notes of magnolia and Lily of the Valley, and is grounded by an amber and cedarwood base. A classic fragrance in a classic locket.

ghd Pink Orchid limited edition hair straightener ($240)-

Pink Orchid was inspired by the lace and texture of the Fall 2011 collections. It comes in a magenta and black lace print case that doubles as a clutch, and it’s heat resistant. Inside the clutch is ghd’s best-selling Gold Series Professional Styler with hot pink styling plates, and you know pink is my fave. But more importantly than the fact that I think it’s cute, it’s super-effective. Straightening my hair with this was quick, easy, and long-lasting, which are all extremely important on those 12-hour long Fashion Week days.

L’Occitane Aromachologie Revitalizing Leg Gel ($25)-

This is a must-have for anyone who has ever worn heels, worked out, stood on their feet all day, or just got sore feet/legs for no reason at all. It feels AMAZING. The essential oils in this just penetrate right in to those tired, achy feet and legs. Contains menthol for cooling, Shea Butter for moisturizing, Cypress & Camphor essential oils, and Ruscus & Arnica extracts. Arnica is used in healing ointments used by professional athletes, so it should definitely help those who have just been walking around Manhattan for a few hours.

Illamasqua Sealing Gel ($15 for 2)-

This sealing gel that keeps powder shadows in place ALL day. You only need the tiniest bit to mix with eye shadows, eye liners, or loose pigments to make your makeup as long-lasting as you are.

Moroccanoil Dry-No-More Professional Scalp Treatment ($36)-

Seems kind of random for this list, eh? But during busy times I torture my hair with blowouts, heat styling, you name it. To keep a gorgeous mane you NEED a healthy scalp. Even though I don’t suffer from dry or itchy scalp, I’ve always been a big believer in applying oils to their, so I was psyched to hear that this brand that I love had come out with one. It contains their signature Argan oil, vitamin E, geranium & lavender essential oils, so irritations are soothed, follicles are moisturized, and the scalp is rejuvenated. When the follicles are happy, the hair can grow out healthy and shiny.
