Gotta Have It: BB Creams

BB creams have been all the rage in Asia in the past, but have now come to the U.S. to offer us flawless skin coverage. BB creams can stand for "beauty balm" or "blemish balm", but what they really are is lightweight skin perfectors with a slight tint. They are a little harder working than your typical tinted moisturizer in that they have SPF and mask imperfections, while still being lightweight. These creams minimize (or even eliminate) the need for heavy concealers and foundations.
The following Sephora exclusives are some of the best BB Creams that I've tried recently (I've left out a brand or 2 that I did NOT enjoy so much), and they will run you just under $40.
Dr Jart Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45 ($39)-

Dr. Jart's Premium Beauty Balm works almost like a treatment serum to brighten skin and restore elasticity.

Dr Jart Water Fuse Beauty Balm SPF 25 ($32)-

This version of Dr. Jart's masterpiece is made with water bead technology to give skin a dewy, natural look. It's quickly absorbed in to the skin, oil-free, and has a cooling effect.

Boscia BB Cream SPF 27 ($38)-

Boscia is a brand that I've only recently started using, but am already thrilled. The brand's products are packed with botanical ingredients and free of parabens, sulfates, and synthetic fragrances. Their BB cream has a self-adjusting tint that warms to match a variety of different skin tones.

As someone who doesn't really wear heavy foundations, these creams are a dream come true. They are all I need to wear in the morning to moisturize, smooth out any imperfections, and protect me against the elements.
