Z Spoke by Zac Posen AW2011 preview

This morning at the Zac Posen showroom, a lucky few editors and bloggers got a sneak peak at his Z Spoke by Zac Posen AW2011 collection. Check out the video below where Zac dishes on giving his customer what she wants at accessible price points, as well as what a gifted model Crystal Renn is.

The model boards. I'm in love.

It wouldn't be a Zac collection without a gorgeous floor-length gown.

Pieces from the handbag collection. I just about passed out.

Celebrity hair stylist, Larry Sims (who I now adore because we shared stories of our dancer pasts), was also there telling us how he used the new Rockin It collection by Got 2 B hair products to achieve the models' wavy style for the show.

First Sims used Got 2 B Rockin It dry shampoo ($5.99) to get a fresh foundation without shampooing the hair. He likes this dry shampoo because of its powerful mist, but also because it doesn't leave that weird white film on the hair that other dry shampoos tend to leave.
Next hair was parted down the center and curled with a large barrel curling iron, starting about half-way down the hair rather than curling from the top down. The curls are then brushed out to achieve more of a relaxed, effortless-looking wave. He then used Got 2 B Rockin It hairspray to lock in the style, but still leave hair pliable enough to work with. This hairspray gives hold without being stiff and sticky.
The last step in the process was to emulsify some Got 2 B Rockin It encore hold gel between the palms of his hands, and then apply that to the ends of the hair for a great texture without the greasy, wet look that you get from traditional hair gels.
