DanniJo fall 2011 collection

DanniJo's fall 2011 jewelry collection, Aboriginal, was inspired by 2 separate eras: The Wild West and the roaring 20's. Sisters Danielle and Jodie Snyder are known for their eclectic statement pieces, and have developed quite the cult following since their launch in 2008. But I think you'll see the jewelry speaks for itself, so I'll let the pictures do the talking.
Backstage, the hair was done by the Sally Hershberger team, who created lots of texture to support the Aboriginal theme. They prepped the models' hair with mousse and then rough-dried it for volume. Next all the models were crimped with a triple-barrel curling iron. Some were given tousled braids, and others were teased in to voluminous up-do's.
The makeup was done by Neil Scibelli and Kim Do for Jouer Cosmetics. The duo wanted to create a subtle glow, so as not to distract from the jewelry but still have the models looking fresh. Earthy tones were used and a full brow was emphasized with Jouer Brow Definer. On the eyes Chocolate and Cappuccino Jouer eyeshadows were used, while cheeks were defined with Jouer's Mineral Powder Bronzer in Sunshine. To finish off the look they used Jouer Hydrating Lipstick in Meredith for a natural gloss.
