Custo Barcelona Fall/Winter 2011 collection: Riot Grrrrls

Custo Barcelona is offering up a little preview of what we can expect to see at the upcoming New York Fashion Week show on February 13th. Above are some inspirational sketches that help to define the Fall/Winter 2011 collection: Riot Grrrrls. There are both daytime and nighttime looks, consisting of bright, relaxed looks for day and boho-chic layered looks for night. Playing with proportions for an effortlessly chic look is a major theme for the evening looks. Embroidery and hand-crafted details will be seen throughout the whole collection, in the day and the nighttime looks.
There are 4 themes that we can look forward to seeing in the collection:
Sweet Uniform- A feminine take on the military trend.
Texture Doll- Inspired by rich kids behaving badly. They are "unkempt, uncaring, sure of themselves". Skins? Gossip Girl? Or just Hollywood heiresses? We shall see!
3D- We should see a lot of three-dimensional aspects on the graphics and fabrications used in the line.
London Calling- "Behind every collection is a great song". One thing that's fun about Custo shows is always the musical inspiration that's behind the runway shows. This capsule is sure to be rebellious and fun.
