Preppy style gets a fragrance makeover this year with the launch of Vera Wang's new Preppy Princess ($35 for the Satiny Body Lotion, $45-$75 for various sizes of the EDT). Nothing says "classic" like Vera Wang, but now she's revamped classic prep to give this girl a bit of edge with a pink bottle decorated in blue and white plaid.To add to this preppy but edgy image, Zoe Kravitz is the crown-wearing star of the ad campaign. Daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, we had no doubt this girl was going to grow up gorgeous. She exceeded our expectations by becoming a singer and an actress to take after both parents, but now we can add modeling to her resume as well.
Zoe's presence in this image is supposed to represent that she is "Born To Rule", like the girl who would gravitate towards this fragrance. It's an interesting blend of honeysuckle and jasmine to keep it elegant. Notes of tangerine, red apple, and crushed berries make it fresh. Then an unexpected twist is a touch of coconut water to keep you guessing.
I will surely be picking up a bottle of this for its eclectic blend of ingredients, but also because this bottle is so cute that it belongs on my shelf.
