Benz on a budget: The runway color that adds some spice to your closet

While it's still a tad early to be looking for items from the SS2011 runway shows, there is a spring color that we can start bringing in to our wardrobes now: yellow! Sometimes there is need for a bright, neon yellow, but these yellows that we'll see here are more of a spicy color (think Saffron or mustard. And yes, I'm always thinking about food). Here are some designers that did yellow for fashion week:

Admittedly, yellow does not look good on everyone, but if you're the type that can rock this color, here are a few pieces that are in stores now:

Modcloth "saucy saffron" coat ($64.99). The best part is that this can be worn now in the cold weather.

Asos Peter Jensen bib top ($137.92). I like the vintage feel of this top, though it will certainly need to be worn under a layering piece if you're not going to freeze to death.

Asos Whistles blouse ($163.78). Try pairing your yellow with a chocolate brown like they did here.

Urban Outfitters Kimchi Blue paperbag trouser ($59). Must. Have. These.

Also from Urban Outfitters, these high-waisted Pins And Needles shorts are on sale for $29.99. Clearly these must be worn with cable-knit tights right now to keep the legs warm, but these will be great to carry in to summer as well.

This color is definitely nothing to be scared of. Try it out!
