Maybelline and Cosmo are collecting kisses for our troops

For the 2nd year in a row, Cosmo Magazine is partnering with Maybelline New York and the United Service Organizations (USO) to collect and deliver “Kisses for the Troops.” Tomorrow is Veterans Day, and Cosmo has built a Kiss Station on Military Island where the public can send a kiss on a postcard for our troops, which will ultimately be delivered to those serving in Iraq and Afghanistan just in time for New Year’s Eve. Cosmo and MaybellineNew York will donate one dollar for each kiss collected to the USO. Maybelline New York will be providing various shades of Color Sensational lipstick in the Kiss Station to create the kisses, and Maybelline New York spokesmodel Lisalla Montenegro will be on hand to help collect kisses.

Also on hand to collect kisses is Malin Ackerman, who you may know from Couples Retreat, 27 Dresses, and (my fave) Harold & Kumar. Ackerman will join Cosmopolitan and the USO in Times Square to help collect kisses for the servicemen and women. Times Square is certainly a great places to collect kisses. The spot where thousands kiss on New Years Eve, this will hopefully be a spot where we can collect thousands of kisses for our boys and girls overseas.

If you can’t make it to the event, you can still be a part of the cause by kissing a postcard, virtually of course, using a digital application. You can log on to

http://www.cosmopolitan.com/kisses or Cosmo’s Facebook page, upload a photo of yourself and write a thank you note. Your virtual kiss also counts towards the USO donation that will be sent to the troops.

Another way to show your support for the USO is by texting “KISS” to 85944. Using this method you can donate $10 to the USO to support the work they do for our troops and their families.

Some of my favorite celebs have already starting donating kisses for our troops. Betty White, Kathy Griffin, and Khloe Kardashian have already donated. Never one to be stingy with the kisses, I will certainly be donating. Come down to Times Square tomorrow and get your lips ready!
