Dermalogica UltraCalming skin care line

Sensitive skin care woes plague many people out there. From the minor irritation of using a product that you have a strange reaction to, to the full-blown annoyance of a permanent skin condition, it's hard to find a line out there that suits your needs as a sensitive skin client. The Dermalogica brand believes in the science behind skin care. Their goal is not just to soothe sensitized skin, but to treat the many causes behind it. Some may have a genetic predisposition to sensitive skin, while others are victims of various environmental assaults on the skin (stress, pollution, diet). Whatever the cause of the sensitivity, the skin reacts with various inflammatory responses. The Dermalogica UltraCalming line consists of 5 products that treat and soothe the inflammation, but also mimic the skin's natural barrier to further strengthen and protect. The products are also free of artificial dyes and fragrances, which are know to make skin sensitive.

Tell me your skin care dramas and you have a chance to win an UltraCalming kit from Dermalogica (retails at $40). Simply comment on this post about your worst skin nightmares and you're in the running. (Tweet and Facebook the contest for extra points. Don't forget to RT @beautybybenz). Winner will be selected at random. Contest is effective immediately and ends on July 24th, 2010 (12:00 noon EST).

The UltraCalming kit contains travel sizes of the following:
-Cleanser
-Relief Masque
-Mist
-Serum Concentrate
-Barrier Repair

  1. I have had many skin nightmares. First of all I have a super oily t-zone, am breakout prone, and I'm fair/sensitive. I have tried my share of products to "fix" my skin :) Probably the scariest product reaction was from glycolic pads from a famous doctor's line. My face turned very bright red and was inflamed for 2 days, then peeled. Not pretty. No more strong acids for this face. LOL.

  2. I really thought the acne would go away after my teens, but instead, it's actually gotten worse in that my skin scars after each breakout. There have been a few cleansers that have helped, but the blotchiness stays for ages. I would love to be able to stop using concealer!

  3. I hate that my face has a mind of its own..its oily then its dry then it just wants to combine a do a dance..its crazy...breaking out is nothing glamourous and would love to just walk out bare faced and feel good about myself

  4. I have to join in on this one since dermalogica is the bomb diggity on combination skin. Right now this humid heat is making my face greasier than a bucket of kentucky fried chicken. I'm still longing to find the right combination of products that will give me a model's complexion. Beautiful even skin tone, and no breakouts...hmmm maybe I should start looking for that genie in a lamp! :)
    Good Luck Everyone!

  5. I am 29 and still having major problems with acne and oily skin. When I got married 3 years ago, my skin was PERFECT. After a lifetime of acne, I had finally gotten it under control. Then last year, i went off birth control. Now my acne and oiliness is worse than when I was a teenager!!!

  10. I have yet to find the perfect combo of cleanser and serum, and for some reason living where I do, I've been breaking out so I would love a worthwhile solution. These products look great!

  11. Thankfully, I do not suffer from any horrible skin conditions. However, I do have a heck of a time with my combination skin. Whenever I use products geared toward oily skin, my cheeks dry right out. But if I use dry skin products (and sometimes even products for "normal" skin), my nose, chin, and forehead suffer the consequences of increased oiliness and breakouts.

Thank you for hosting this fabulous giveaway - I would be SO thrilled to win!
