Stila Cherry Crush Lip Stain

Ah another lip stain on the market. As if there's not enough to choose from. What sets Stila's Cherry Crush ($24) apart from the others? Well, for starters, the fact that the taste and smell is not offensive. For once I'm not gagging when I put this stain on my lips. There's nothing worse than using a lip stain and feeling like I'm eating chemicals all day.
Besides that, the applicator brush makes it easy to apply. This is not of the roller ball variety like most lip stains. It's the same brush as Stila uses on all its lip glosses so it's goof-proof.
This gives a nice, subtle stain to the lips. Almost like you've been indulging in an cherry popsicle on a hot summer's day. If you're looking for a deep stain you might want to look elsewhere. This is good for someone looking for just a hint of color. It does last all day, which is the benefit of using a stain over a regular gloss or lipstick. For my pale lips this is a great product, but if you already have darker lips you'll want a deeper stain (Tarte has some good ones).
